Lender Offers Detroit $4b Loan If Dia Held As Collateral

A lender has offered Detroit a loan of up to $4 billion - but only if the city's art collection is held as collateral.The Detroit News reported that New York-based Art Capital Group offered the loan in the lead-up to Tuesday's trial on Detroit's bankruptcy exit plan, upping its initial offer of $2 billion to $3 billion, with a spokesman saying the company will offer as much as $4 billion.
