Philadelphia officials say an officer has been killed in the line of duty after he was shot in the head while trying to stop a robbery at a video game store.
Mayor Michael Nutter says Officer Robert Wilson III died Thursday. Nutter says Wilson was an eight-year veteran. Police say two suspects are in custody; one was wounded after the late afternoon confrontation inside a GameStop store at a North Philadelphia strip mall.
Police Chief Charles Ramsey says the entire department is in shock and mourning.
Ramsey says Wilson and his partner were inside the store when the two suspects tried to rob it.
He may have a personal fondness for her, but Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) suggested Thursday that Hillary Clinton's exclusive use of personal email while serving as secretary of state was hypocritical.
"This is the same individual that just excoriated the Bush administration for supposedly hiding communications within the administration," McCain said on MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports."
While serving as a senator from New York in 2007, Clinton criticized the Bush administration for its "secrecy," according to The Hill.
Washington state, which already has the nation's highest minimum wage, is considering raising it even higher.
Democratic state lawmakers are advancing a bill that would hike the wage floor to $12 per hour over four years. The state House on Tuesday approved the legislation 51-46 to increase the hourly minimum wage from the current $9.47 to $12 by 2019.
