LIMA — Lima schools Superintendent Jill Ackerman on Thursday provided an overview of the district’s plan to improve the way in which it evaluates its programs and standards for teachers. Speaking to the Lima City Board of Education, Ackerman described several actions the district is currently undertaking or will begin implementing within the next three years. The plan was created after a member of the Ohio Department of Education’s Academic Distress Commission presented recommendations for improvement at a July board meeting.
