Nineteen-year-old twins Kayla and Jenna Frink have spent the last 10 summers working toward one annual competition: the Colorado State Fair's junior market lamb show. For the past few months, the sisters labored five to six hours a day at their sheep farm in Eaton, preparing a dozen lambs for Sunday's show, during which the animals were critiqued based on their muscle structure, balance, presentation and whatever other criteria the judge felt privy to that day. Kayla and Jenna hold seven market lamb state titles that, thanks to the fair's Junior Livestock Sale, have generated enough money to pay much of their college tuition.
