It’s no surprise to anyone that the local bookstore scene in Denver has been completely upended by the coronavirus. Independent bookstores have always battled against big sellers like Amazon, but in the pandemic, some have fallen farther behind. In-person browsing and events set local retailers apart in the past, but that hasn’t been an option for several months.
