Lamar University is developing additional graduate-level degrees for online instruction as similar programs continue driving enrollment to record levels, an administrator said. Although head-count numbers will not be certified until the 20th class day, Senior Associate Provost Kevin Smith estimated 14,500 students will sign up for Lamar instruction this semester, which would be a record. Close to one-fourth of that enrollment could be students signed up for the university's online education program, Smith said.
