Lyft Now Lets Passengers Split The Cost Of A Ride

It took a while, but alternative cab service Lyft has finally added fare-splitting to its app, the company announced on its blog today. Now, when you open the app, you can tap on “Split Payments” and invite up to five people from your contacts list to split a fare. Though the blog post doesn’t make a mention of it, the accompanying illustration shows that a $0.25 fee is applied when passengers use the feature.
