The 75th anniversary of the infamous Japanese air attack on Pearl Harbor, which killed more than 2,300 American servicemen and pushed the United States into World War II, will be commemorated in ceremonies in Portland and Bangor on Wednesday. Three World War II veterans will be honored at the Bangor ceremony, including Robert Coles of Machias, who survived the attack.
