Man Scammed Out Of Lawnmower Cash

A Blythe man told police he was scammed while attempting to purchase a lawnmower from a man he thought was a Lowe’s employee. The 73-year-old victim told police he was seeking a lawnmower after his had been stolen and heard through a third party that a manager at the Peach Orchard Road Lowe’s was selling one at a discount. After making contact with the seller, the victim learned the riding lawnmower had been discounted because a customer had canceled the order and the store needed to get it out of its inventory, according to an incident report. read more
