PROVIDENCE — A man was in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital on Friday following an early-morning stabbing in the West End.Police said that around 1:45 a.m., officers went to Elmwood Avenue and Peace Street, where Anthony Oliveira, 30, told them a teenage male wearing a black hoodie had stabbed him after Oliveira offered him a ride home because it was raining.The teen told Oliveira to drop him off at the West End Community Center.
