A Jacksonville man will spend the rest of his life in prison after shooting a police officer while carrying drugs in his vehicle. Donald Lee Goins, 34, was convicted Friday following a three-day trial on charges of first-degree attempted murder, possession of cocaine and several other drug and weapons charges.
