(AP) — A 24-year-old man who shot a Loveland police officer during a traffic stop has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports (http://noconow.co/1x0ITkW ) Cody Powell, of Loveland, was sentenced Wednesday after previously pleading guilty to attempted first-degree murder and an amended count of a crime of violence.
