ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Mark Sanchez isn't allowing his injured left thumb to sideline him at the start of the Denver Broncos' organized team activities. Wearing a black brace on his surgically repaired thumb, Sanchez took snaps Tuesday ahead of second-year quarterback Trevor Siemian and first-round draft pick Paxton Lynch. The Super Bowl champs' new starting quarterback had been expected to miss the first week of workouts after a weight room mishap May 13. There were a handful of no-shows at the start of OTAs, most notably Von Miller, the Super Bowl MVP who has skipped all offseason workouts while awaiting a long-term contract extension. Also sitting out: DeMarcus Ware and second-round draft pick Adam Gotsis, who is recovering from knee surgery. ___ AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFLRead more on NewsOK.com
