Mcc Scholarships Put Your Next Step Within Reach

Figuring out your next step can be scary – but financing your education doesn’t have to be. If your goals involve pursuing a new degree or certificate, McHenry County College offers a variety of scholarships tailored to every facet of our diverse student body. Scholarships are available to all students regardless of FAFSA award status—and because they are gift aid, do not have to be repaid. High-Impact Scholarships, which include the Presidential Talent Scholarships, Board of Trustees Scholarships, and Founding Faculty Scholarships, each award recipients with 60 (in-district) credit hours—some even covering other fees and books. Students interested in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) career may also be eligible for a needs-based $10,000 STEM scholarship which covers the majority of MCC tuition. Applications for High-Impact and STEM scholarships are due by April 7, 2020, and winners will be announced no later than April 24.
