HAZLE TWP. — Things didn’t go too well the first time through the batting order. Nine batters, one hit, no runs. Hazleton Area, though, got in sync the next time against Scranton pitcher Sam Peck. Especially senior Megan Trivelpiece. Trivelpiece blasted a three-run homer to right in a four-run third and then helped close out the victory with a two-run triple in a six-run fifth as Hazleton Area defeated Scranton 10-0 in a District 2/4 Class 6A softball semifinal game. “I was just so happy for her because it’s her senior year,” Hazleton Area coach Heather Natt said.
