(AP) — Members of the McAlester school board are hearing evidence that could lead to the dismissal of the district's superintendent, who has been suspended with pay amid allegations she spent school money on personal items. Two district finance department employees said Thursday that Gore told them to never contact the state Department of Education about their concerns and that they should never ask questions at state training sessions.
