HUGUENOT - A two-alarm house fire Sunday morning in Huguenot sent a family of five fleeing for their lives. The blaze at 41 Big Pond Road remains under investigation, but is not considered to be suspicious, officials said. The 911 call was received at about 6:30 a.m., and the family managed to safely evacuate before firefighters arrived, said Jeff Conklin, Huguenot first assistant fire chief.
