MINOT, N.D. (AP) — An animal hospital in Minot says money is pouring in from the community to help cover the medical bills of a cat that was abandoned after being shot in the face. Suzanne Nostdahl, receptionist at the Pinkerton Animal Hospital, told the Minot Daily News (http://bit.ly/1IcdqP4 ) that several people made donations this week to help Precious the cat, including one woman who donated $1,000. The cat was brought in earlier in the week after Minot resident Lorna Spencer found her abandoned near her home along with three kittens. At the hospital, doctors found the cat was missing part of her tongue, her left jaw was shattered and that she had a bullet from a .22-caliber firearm lodged in the fatty tissue of her chest.
