Morning Drive Bridge Readied For Concrete Pour

On its dusty, rocky, hilly surface, the ongoing reconstruction of the Morning Drive-Highway 178 intersection looks not unlike any other $43 million interchange project -- but maybe that's because part of it is currently buried under 56 tons of dirt. The project, which broke ground Aug. 21, 2013 and should wrap in July 2015, will widen Highway 178 from one to two lanes in either direction between Fairfax Road and Canteria Drive and add an auxiliary entrance-exit lane each way between Fairfax Road and Morning Drive.
