The heavy storms and vivid displays of lightning moving through the metro this morning may help temperatures from reaching above 100 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service.While scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this morning, however, forecasters say severe storms are expected to be isolated.After the storms roll through, Oklahomans can expect more dry and seasonably hot weather late this week and into the early part of next week as a deep layer of warmer air moves east from the southern Rockies.For the rest of the day, skies are expected to be partly cloudy with temperatures reaching the 90s and low 100s, forecasters said.Read more on NewsOK.com
