Carly Crump, an Episcopal School of Jacksonville senior, will be one of two Florida students competing for one of the nation’s top prizes for high school students. The 18-year-old is one of 97 regional finalists nationwide in the Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology, which awards top students scholarships of up to $100,000 for original research and presentations. Crump will attend one of six regional competitions, held at Georgia Institute of Technology Friday, where contestants vie for $3,000 scholarships as individuals or a $6,000 prize for a team. read more
