Police said that Eric Ganser, 45 of Fairfield, was heading west on White Street on his Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was hit by a green Winter Brothers Waste Systems truck shortly before 9 a.m. The accident happened outside the exit for the transfer station that is operated by Winter Brothers. Fire Department officials said Ganser had significant leg injuries.
