Mount Herman Hatchet Suspect Held On $10,000 Bond Related To Possession Of A Weapon

A man named as a "suspect" in recent Mount Herman Road hatchet threats has officially been cited and jailed, but not on charges relating to the threats. Daniel Nations, 31, is accused of a single count of possession of a weapon by a previous offender, according to court records. Because Nations is a convicted felon, he's not legally allowed to carry a weapon. The charge is the first indication that Nations was armed, though no other information has been released about the gun or whether he tried to use it. Gazette news partner KKTV previously reported the gun matched the caliber used to kill cyclist Tim Watkins, who was found dead Sept.
