Mta Workers May Get $3k If Contract Approves

Many transit workers will get checks for at least $3,000 if the tentative contract negotiated with the MTA is ratified. The contract with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, announced last week by Gov. Cuomo, includes 8% in annual raises over five years, retroactive to January 2012.
