Sean Monahan scored the game-winning goal early in the third period to lift the Calgary Flames to a much-needed 3-1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday. Curtis Glencross and T.J. Brodie also lit the lamp and Karri Ramo made 26 saves for the Flames, who ended a three-game skid and vaulted into the second wild card spot in the Western Conference, passing idle Minnesota.
