RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina officials are challenging a federal decision allowing decades of private profits from a series of hydroelectric dams originally constructed to support hundreds of jobs. State attorneys asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission late Monday to reconsider its September decision allowing the dams in central North Carolina to continue generating electricity for sale until 2055.Read more on NewsOK.com
