Netflix has announced they will be the exclusive home of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Universal Television's new comedy series from co-creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, giving the series a two-season order in the process. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was developed for NBC, and the network gave the show a midseason order in May, so to now hear that it's going to be a Netflix series and that it's been given two seasons right out of the gate is quite the surprise. The series stars Ellie Kemper (The Office) as a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York.
