KINGSPORT — Robinson Redskins and Sevier Warriors they are, were and shall remain. The Board of Education at its regular Tuesday night meeting voted to keep the names, colors and mascots of Sevier and Robinson middle schools, as members had informally agreed during a June 16 retreat. The decision was based on public and school surveys that showed majority support for the status quo before Sevier moves to what is now the Sullivan North High/Middle schools campus in 2021.
