Two westbound lanes of Forest Avenue in Portland are closed Tuesday morning as crews investigate an oil spill near the roadway.
The outbound lanes are closed near Exit 6 of I-295, which is also the area of a ramp construction project. Ted Talbot, spokesman for the Maine Department of Transportation, said crews are still trying to determine the source of the oil.
Drivers are being asked to find alternative routes around the area.

LEWISTON — Fire officials in Lewiston have responded to two separate accidents in which cars have run into buildings.
Officials say the first crash occurred at around 3 p.m. Monday when a car drove into a building on Pleasant Street. The driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
WMTW-TV reports that another car crashed into a restaurant four hours later.
