LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — A man who was about to be sentenced for a murder conviction cut himself with a razor blade and had to be forcibly removed from a court holding cell and rushed to a hospital. Montoya was supposed to be sentenced Friday for his murder conviction in the 2006 killing of 29-year-old Adam Avalos, then a fellow detainee at the Dona Ana County Detention Center, with a jail-issued razor.
