FROM STAFF REPORTSNORMAN — It was only appropriate that Norman's new water tower be christened with a little H2O. City council members, the mayor and city officials gathered Wednesday to throw water balloons at the tower, just north of Robinson Street and east of 24th Avenue NE. Mayor Lynne Miller spoke at the gathering about the advantages of the new tank, while city officials led visitors on a tour inside the new storage unit. The tank will hold 1 million gallons of water, bringing Norman's total water storage capacity to 5.5 million gallons.Read more on NewsOK.com
