Soraya Darabi, 31, and Maxine Bédat, 32, celebrated their startup's first anniversary this week, but the two are not sitting back and relaxing just yet. The slow-fashion startup, called Zady, is rolling out its first private label, one product at a time — beginning with a knit wool sweater. Darabi and Bédat started Zady because they were frustrated by the fashion industry at large and wanted to do something to change the way clothing was manufactured, sold, and bought.
