FIPS 197, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) | CSRC
Three members of the Rijndael family are specified in this Standard: AES-128, AES-192, and AES-256. Each of them transforms data in blocks of 128 bits, and the numerical suffix indicates the bit length of the associated cryptographic keys.
Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) - TechTarget
AES includes three block ciphers or cryptographic keys: AES-128 uses a 128-bit key length to encrypt and decrypt message blocks. AES-192 uses a 192-bit key length to encrypt and decrypt message blocks. AES-256 uses a 256-bit key length to encrypt and decrypt message blocks.
AES Encryption | Everything you need to know about AES - ProPrivacy
The AES encryption algorithm encrypts and decrypts data in blocks of 128 bits. It can do this using 128-bit, 192-bit, or 256-bit keys. AES using 128-bit keys is often referred to as AES-128, and so on.
Advanced Encryption Standard - Wikipedia
It works on the 8-round version of AES-128, with a time complexity of 2 48, and a memory complexity of 2 32. 128-bit AES uses 10 rounds, so this attack is not effective against full AES-128. The first key-recovery attacks on full AES were by Andrey Bogdanov, Dmitry Khovratovich, and Christian Rechberger, and were published in 2011.
What Is AES Encryption & How Does It Work in 2024? 256-bit vs 128-bit
There are three different sizes: 256-bit AES, 192-bit AES and 128-bit AES. The largest size, 256-bit AES, is the most secure, while 128-bit is conversely the least secure of the three.
