The White Tiger (Adiga novel) - Wikipedia
The White Tiger is a novel by Indian author Aravind Adiga. It was published in 2008 and won the 40th Booker Prize the same year. [1] The novel provides a darkly humorous perspective of India's class struggle in a globalized world as told through a retrospective narration from Balram Halwai, a village boy.

Aravind Adiga. Bio. Aravind Adiga was born in 1974 in Madras (now called Chennai), and grew up in Mangalore in the south of India. He was educated at Columbia University in New York and Magdalen College, Oxford. His articles have appeared in publications such as the New Yorker, the Sunday Times, the Financial Times, and the Times of India.

Aravind Adiga grew up in Mangalore in the south of India. His first novel, The White Tiger, won the Booker Prize in 2008. Subsequent novels include Last Man in Tower (2011), Selection Day (2016) and Amnesty (2020). He was educated at Columbia University in New York and Magdalen College, Oxford.

He studied English Literature at Columbia University, New York, and gained an M.Phil. at Magdalen College, Oxford. Since 2000, he has worked as a journalist, first as a financial correpsondent in New York, then returning to India in 2003 to work as a correspondent for TIME magazine.
