Official website. Cremona ( / krɪˈmoʊnə /, [3] [4] also UK: / krɛˈ -/; [5] Italian: [kreˈmoːna]; Cremunés: Cremùna; Emilian: Carmona) is a city and comune in northern Italy, situated in Lombardy, on the left bank of the Po river in the middle of the Pianura Padana ( Po Valley ).

Cremona, city, Lombardia (Lombardy) regione (region), northern Italy, on the north bank of the Po River southeast of Milan. It was founded by the Romans in 218 bc on the site of an earlier Gallic village of the Cenomani.
