The Mummy Range (elevation approximately 13,000 ft) is a mountain range in the Rocky Mountains of northern Colorado in the United States. The range is a short subrange of the Front Range located in southwestern Larimer County northwest of the town of Estes Park.

Proceed cautiously on this 14.7-mile out-and-back trail near Estes Park, Colorado. Generally considered a highly challenging route, it should only be attempted by experienced adventurers. This is a popular trail for backpacking, camping, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.

Located in Northern Central Colorado, the Mummy Range extends northward from Chapin Pass in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) approximately 20 miles to the Cache La Poudre River. The southern half of the range lies within RMNP while the northern half is contained within Roosevelt National Forest and the Comanche Peak Wilderness.

The Mummy Range is a 15 miles/24 km mountain range located mostly in Rocky Mountain National Park in northern Colorado, northwest of the town of Estes Park. Â Prominent peaks include Hagues Peak, Ypsilon Mountain, Mummy Mountain and Mount Chiquita. Â The range supposedly got its name because it resembles a Egyptian sarcophagus. Â

Prominent peaks in the range include Hagues Peak, Ypsilon Mountain, Mummy Mountain, and Mount Chiquita. These peaks are easily accessible alone or in groups or via the Lawn Lake Trail. Some offer reasonably challenging technical routes but all can be ascended by steep hiking and mild scrambling after snow melt.
