Rubber is a multipurpose elastic material that is well-known for its toughness, flexibility, and durability. It is mostly made from the latex sap of some plants, most notably the rubber tree.

Rubber is a type of material called a polymer. It can be produced from natural sources (e.g. natural rubber) or can be synthesised on an industrial scale. Many things are made from rubber, like gloves, tires, plugs, and masks. Some things can be made only from rubber.
