Select it: Select the layer you want to convert, or select multiple layers by holding down Command (Mac) or Control (PC) while clicking. 3.
Resize Images Without Losing Quality with Photoshop Smart Objects
Click the menu icon in the top right corner of the Layers panel: Opening the Layers panel menu. And then choose Convert to Smart Object from the list: Choosing 'Convert to Smart Object'. Photoshop converts the layer to a smart object, and a smart object icon appears in the layer's thumbnail:
