Windsor Locks is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Capitol Planning Region. As of the 2020 census, its population was 12,613. [1] . It is the site of Bradley International Airport, which serves the Greater Hartford-Springfield region and occupies approximately a third of the town.

Windsor Locks, Connecticut - a CTHumanities Project
Originally part of Windsor, Windsor Locks incorporated in 1854. At the southern end of the Enfield Falls Canal, which opened in 1829, the town took part of its name from the locks. These controlled water levels in the canal and allowed vessels to safely bypass a dangerously shallow stretch of the river.
