No Charges Against D.c. Cops In Carey Shooting

After a nine-month investigation, federal prosecutors have declined to charge Secret Service and capitol police officers who fatally shot Stamford resident Miriam Carey outside the U.S. Capitol last fall. According to the summary, Carey was shot after trying to run over a Secret Service agent when she encountered a checkpoint for trucks outside the Capitol. According to released summary, Carey drove into a restricted White House checkpoint at 2:13 p.m.
