NUANGOLA — Borough council voted this week to warn the owner of a property at the intersection of Vandermark Street and Lake Avenue that he is in violation of borough code. Councilman Michael Johnson said the site is home to junk cars and parts. Johnson and council president Joseph Tucker directed Barry Jacobs, code and zoning enforcement officer, to issue a violation notice. Tucker said he also received a number of citizen complaints about activities at the property. This action follows on the heels of blighted property complaints filed in May in Luzerne County Court against five other borough residents.
