Oatland Marks 40th Anniversary

After spending the weekend moving into their Pooler home, the Davies family knew it was time to do something fun on Sunday. The family was among an estimated 500 people who attended Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s 40th anniversary celebration. The two-day event concluded Sunday with a family day that included face painting, seminars on wildlife and the 2-mile walking trail that features wolves, foxes, bald eagles and other animals that call the 175-acre center home. The Oatland Island Wildlife Center sits off Islands Expressway on Oatland Island.
