WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Officers were on the scene at the Interstate 81 southbound rampway that merges on onto Highway 309 due to the possibility of a bomb scare. Police from Ashley, Wilkes-Barre Township and the Scranton Police Bomb Squad were on the scene to discover fireworks in the back of a vehicle. The rampway was closed for about two hours, but has since reopened, and no arrests have been made.
