The Office of Hawaiian Affairs awarded $278,212 to the Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division of The Salvation Army in support of efforts to utilize Native Hawaiian healing methods in substance use treatment. The money will go directly toward the Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division’s Family Treatment Services project, dubbed Ola Kino Maikai 2.0, to integrate cultural practices into its women's residential substance use treatment program.
