Supporters started the first step in the process to fund Kasich’s unofficial bid for Kasich this week, incorporating “A New Day for America” with Ohio’s secretary of state. “Word of the new campaign organization surfaced on Thursday as Kasich is scheduled to speak Friday and Saturday in the early presidential primary states of South Carolina and New Hampshire, before returning to Columbus on Sunday for an appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press,” Dispatch Washington bureau chief Jack Torry writes.
