Here’s a look at goals for the rest of the decade and how priorities have evolved since the last agenda-setting session two years ago. NEIGHBORHOODS Aggressively enforce city codes to attack urban blight. Implement the comprehensive plan to guide development. Make neighborhoods a focus of capital improvement programs. What’s changed: The city has inventoried vacant and abandoned buildings and allocated money to step up code enforcement. EDUCATION Expand partnerships with Oklahoma City public schools. Document schoolchildren’s performance. What’s changed: Council members are working in concert with school officials to build closer ties between neighborhoods and schools.
