BY DARLA SLIPKE, Staff WriterMIDWEST CITY — The smell of fresh bread promised to fill Sylvia Bayless’ home Wednesday afternoon as she worked in her kitchen making final preparations for the Oklahoma County Free Fair at State Fair Park. Bayless, 77, plans to enter between 40 and 50 items in the fair this year, ranging from fresh vegetables from her garden to coffee cake to a collection of carpentry tools her grandfather used to help build the former Huckins Hotel. “I don’t think there’s anything in my home that I can’t find a place for at the fair,” Bayless said at her Midwest City home.Read more on NewsOK.com
