In brief Friday is Wear Red Day The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women is asking women and men of Oklahoma City to participate in National Wear Red Day on Friday to raise public awareness and make ending heart disease a reality. Cardiovascular diseases are the cause of death of one in three women each year, killing approximately one woman every minute, according to a news release. You can participate by wearing red, sharing photos on social media or updating your social media profile. Find out more about the day at GoRedForWomen.org/WearRedDay. Photos from Africa are on display Travel through the lens to Sierra Leone as Gay Pasley’s photographs are featured at Urban Roots, 322 NE 6, during Black History month.
