One Injured In Augusta Shooting

One man went to jail and another went to a hospital after a shooting Tuesday afternoon near Deans Bridge Road. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office received a call about 5 p.m. that a man was heard screaming from the wooded area next to Providence Place Apartment Complex. Deputies found him in the woods, suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. The victim – who was not identified – was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. read more
