Dave Nelson, the second batter in Rangers history and an All-Star in the team's second season, has passed away at the age of 73, the Milwaukee Brewers announced Monday. According to the Brewers' statement, Nelson had been battling a long illness.Nelson had been with the Milwaukee organization since 2001, first as a minor league instructor and then as a broadcaster.The infieder began his career with the Cleveland organization, but was traded to the Washington Senators for the 1970 season.
